Sometimes living in a suburban area like Ningbo can be a little slow-paced and run-of-the-mill. With most businesses and shops closing around 8:00 pm and only one bar/club area in town, which we have frequented too many times to count, it's not really the ideal city to bring in a banging birthday. This weekend, Ashley, my co-FBG and partner-in-crime turned 23 and decided to take a trip to Shanghai to celebrate. As requested by the birthday girl, we woke up early Saturday morning and took the short 2.5 hour bus ride to Shanghai. There we met up with some other people in our program and spent our day indulging in tasty food and drinks, exploring the city, and of course partying. The trip was definitely a success.
